II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "đặt lại cho đúng vị trí hoặc trật tự; điều chỉnh"
=to change something slightly in order to make it better, more accurate, or more effective

- Với nghĩa này, adjust là ngoại động từ
- adjust something for something (=change something to show the effect of something else)

- If the chair is too high you can adjust it to suit you.

2. Mang nghĩa "chỉnh lại trang phục / máy móc chỉnh tề"
=to arrange your clothing to make yourself look tidy / to move something slightly so that it is in the right place or is more comfortable

3. Mang nghĩa "trở nên hoặc làm cho thích hợp (với hoàn cảnh mới)"
=to get used to a new situation by changing your ideas or the way you do things / to become more familiar with a new situation

=if your eyes adjust to darkness or light, they get used to it and you begin to be able to see clearly again
