II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "đính kèm cái gì vào thư/email"
=to send a document, picture, etc. with an email or letter

- I attach a recent photograph.
- A document attached to an invoice (with a pin ) (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Một chứng từ được đính vào hoá đơn (bằng một cái ghim))
- I attach a copy of this month's report which includes figures for the last quarter.
2. Mang nghĩa "gắn, dán, trói buộc"
=to fasten or join one thing to another / to connect one machine or piece of equipment to another

- Attach the rope to the branch of a tree.
- There was a message attached to the flowers.
- He attached a colour printer to his computer.
3. Mang nghĩa "coi; cho là; gán cho"
=if something is attached to a place, it has a connection with or is part of it / if a quality attaches to someone or something, they have that quality

- The field was used by horses from the riding school that is attached to the farm.
- An element of risk inevitably attaches to sports such as skiing.
- Considerable prestige attaches to his new position.
- To attach importance to one's study (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Coi việc học hành là quan trọng; coi trọng việc học hành)
- To attach little value to someone's statement (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Coi lời tuyên bố của ai là không có giá trị mấy)
- If you attach a negative label to a group, you can then treat all the members of that group badly.
4. Mang nghĩa "nhập bọn, tham gia"
=to send someone to work with a different group of people or in a different place, especially temporarily / if someone is attached to a department or company, they are sent to work there temporarily for a particular purpose

- Với nghĩa này, attach được chia bị động
- be attached to someone/something

- She is now attached to the American Embassy in Beijing.

- Tom was attached to the Marketing Department for six months.
