2.1. Mang nghĩa"nối; kết nối"
=to join two things together/to join two places, making it possible for people and things to move between them/to join something to a supply of electricity, water etc

- Với nghĩa này, connect vừa là nội động từ, vừa là ngoại động từ
- connect something to/with something

- She carefully connected the two wires.
- The boxes are connected by lines that show their mathematical relationships.
- It has speakers inside, which you can connect to your sound card.
- This cable connects to the back of the TV.

=to make it possible for someone to communicate using a telephone or computer network

2.3. Mang nghĩa"liên kết; giao kết"
=to show a relationship between one person or thing and another

- The public connects him with sport not politics.

2.4. Mang nghĩa"nối chuyến"
=if one train, plane, bus etc connects with another one, it arrives in time for you to continue your journey on the other one

2.5. Mang nghĩa"chung ý tưởng, đồng ý kiến"
=to feel you understand someone or something and have the same ideas, opinions, and beliefs/If you connect with someone, you feel a sense of agreement and familiarity with them because you have the same kind of ideas.

2.6. Mang nghĩa"liên tưởng, có liên quan đến"
=Something that connects a person or thing with something else shows or provides a link or relationship between them.

- A search of Brady's house revealed nothing that could connect him with the robberies.
- What connects them?
