2.1. Mang nghĩa"tôn trọng (ai đó)"
=to feel admiration for someone because of their personal qualities, their achievements, or their status, and show this by treating them in a polite and kind way

- respect someone for (doing) something
- respect someone as something
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- He is highly respected in his profession.
- I respect you for your honesty (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: tôi kính trọng ông về đức tính trung thực)
- People will respect you for telling the truth about this.
- We work well together, and I respect him as a colleague.
2.2. Mang nghĩa"tôn trọng (cái gì)"
=to show that you understand the importance of something by not doing anything against it

- Doctors must respect the wishes of patients.
- to respect somebody's opinions (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: tôn trọng ý kiến của ai)

=to obey a rule, law etc
