CÁCH DÙNG TỪ "SUBSIDIZE" VÀ "SUBSIDY" TIẾNG ANH

• SUBSIDIZE là 1 ngoại động từ, tức là theo sau nó phải có tân ngữ, mang nghĩa được trợ giá, tức là được ai đó giúp đỡ / trợ giúp về mặt tài chính 
• Xét các ví dụ sau:
  • £50 would help to subsidize the training of an unemployed teenager. 
  • The refugees live in subsidized housing provided by the authorities. (sống trong nơi ở đuợc trợ cấp...)
  • All private universities are subsidized by the government. 
  • He raises the question as to whether the fine arts should be subsidized by public funds. 
  • Our canteen at work is subsidized. 
  • Airlines are also subsidized.
  • The tenants live in federally subsidized apartments. (Căn chung cư được trợ giá)

• The uninsured often seek emergency care at hospitals, which is eventually subsidized by taxpayers. 
• The supported employment programme subsidises employers so they can pay staff the going rate for the job.

• It may be eligible for a government subsidy.
