To pick sth up (to buy something cheaply)

To hand sth down (to give something to someone younger than you in the family)

To pay (someone) back: Trả lại tiền cho ai đó

To do sth up (to fasten/ wrap/ repair and decorate (a house))

To dress up (to put on more formal clothes for a special occasion)

4.1. Types of things

- Objects without content (Vật không có nội dung): phone (điện thoại), a piece of furniture (đồ nội thất), laptop, house (nhà), apartment (căn hộ), …
- Objects with content (Thứ có nội dung): a TV program (chương trình truyền hình), a book (sách), a movie (phim), a piece of art (tác phẩm nghệ thuật), news (tin tức), a performance (buổi biểu diễn), …
4.2. Feelings (Cảm xúc)

- reminiscent (adj) (of..): gợi nhớ về ...
- exhilarated (adj): hưng phấn
- thrilled (adj): thích thú
- over the moon (adj): rất vui
- inspired (adj): được truyền cảm hứng

- Sharp: Sắc

- 10cm in length: dài 10cm
- At the top and bottom edges: ở cạnh trên và cạnh dưới
- To be pointed at the distal ends: nhọn hơn ở vùng chóp, đỉnh, cạnh
